Our Day Camp program runs from mid-June through mid-August and is available Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, for children 5 years to 13 years old, with an option for Before Care starting at 7:30am and/or After Care until 5:00pm. Day Camp will offer 2-week camp sessions starting June 15th.
* Per state regulations, our first session in June will only be open to year-round residents of Grand County. We will reevaluate this throughout the summer as we are given further guidance by state and local Health Departments.
Our camp this year will be hosted through Camp Chief Ouray (CCO) our resident summer camp at Snow Mountain Ranch. CCO was selected as the best overnight summer camp of 2019 by Colorado Parent Magazine and has been making Camp Magic for over a century. CCO is not able to offer their regular summer camp this summer so they will have all of their camp experience and expertise to offer to our Day Camp program.

The Snow Mountain Ranch Day Camp is designed to promote growth and development for campers. We believe that our day camp is unique, and not only provides children with activities that are recreational in nature, but goes beyond recreation to give children the opportunity to grow in other ways. Our programs provide opportunities for play, for learning responsibility for our natural resources, and for growth in self-esteem and social skills. Through trained, qualified leadership, children have experiences that enrich their lives.
We will promote:
1. CARING for self and others
2. HONESTY in actions and words
3. RESPECT of others, ourselves and the environment
4. RESPONSIBILITY for actions and duties
5. FAITH in self, others and God.
Snow Mountain Ranch Day Camp staff are highly trained and very committed. Our counselors are college students or graduates and are trained in CPR and Basic First Aid. They are hard-working young men and women who are not only role models of the YMCA core values, but are also dedicated, experienced, responsible, enthusiastic, positive and fun!
